I get teh follow errors trying to launch a app-v application. I am stuck.
"the application virtualization client could not launch" "package requested could not be found"
From client log

The Application Virtualization Client could not connect to stream URL 'RTSP://appv-01.comany.com:554/calc98/Calc98.sft' (rc 1690140A-20000194, original rc 1690140A-20000194).

The client was unable to connect to an Application Virtualization Server (rc 1690140A-20000194)

The Application Virtualization Client could not launch Calc98 4.1.1.4.The package requested could not be found in the system data store or the files associated with this package could not be found on the server. Report the following error code to your System Administrator.
Error code: 4604EE8-1690140A-20000194

Does the SFT file exist in this path where ever you have the Content share located? RTSP://appv-01.comany.com:554/calc98/Calc98.sft
For example, if the Content shares is located on the App-V server at E:\Content, the file should exist at E:\Content\calc98\Calc98.sft
Also check the permissions on the Content location. The NETWORK SERVICE (i.e. the computer ) account needs at least read access to this location.

I was getting Error code: 4604EE8-1690140A-20000194 -
In the end it was the fact I changed the default content folder and you need to change a registry key -
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Softgrid\4.5\Server
Change the SOFTGRID_CONTENT_DIR key to reflect the new path to where your applications/content share folder is.
I changed that and then it worked... Not a well documented issue.
