    Hi

I am trying to sequence Patterson "EagleSoft 15". The regular installation installs a DB server and a Messenger server. The DB server must be manually clicked on  before the application can be launched. anybody has experience dealing with it ?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Usually I try to seperate server v client, and server components sometimes fall out of scope for virtualization as they tend to integrate very deep into the OS sometimes (drivers...).

I have no knowledge of the eaglesoft 15, but if you explain more of what you have tried (as I can of course guess this and give you random suggestions...) and what problems you have experienced so far - perhaps we can offer some more insight.

    /Znack

    Hi Znack

Thanks for replying. It gives you three options to install
     1) client

    2)server

    3) stand alone client-server.

The software is used by our Dental Assistant students. Students work and then save their work on the server for the instructor to review. I was thinking about installing the server on a network drive, and then sequence the client to connect through ODBC.

Could this DB server be Windows service that has to be manually started.

I would look at what the said shortcut points into?
