    Hello all.

Trying to set up a test App V 4.5.0.1485.

After having completed installation using SQL Express DB when I try to connect using the Console I get:

    A remoting error occurred.

Make sure the Manamgement Console is properly configured and it has the same version as the Management Service.

    Error code:0000C824

It is installed on Windows 2008 Server and i have done the installatin with a domain admin account. I am not using secure connection.

    I have tried the following:

    But no luck.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks for your time.

I have tried most of those fixes but none seem to work. Though they seem more aimed at windows 2003. Any other thoughts?

You could check you IIS' installed role features.

Besides a "Default Install" you should have
    - All IIS 6 compability features activated (in fact not all of them are necessary but they do no harm)
    - Winows Authentication is enabled
    - IIS Management Scripts and Tools

Usually, forgetting one of these role features already caus installation issues, but double-checking never hurts...

I have gone over several times as most of the solutions revolve around this. But still no luck. I created a windows 2003 server which is what i installed on previously. Which works fine. So I am not sure what I am missing with 2008. Having a chat with Microsoft about it. Will post when I get an answer. Thanks chaps. But if anyone has any other ideas I am happy to try as I still have the 2008 server up.

Have had this on 2003 before when Active Server Pages wasn't added under IIS..  Also make sure default web site is running on 80 (and if not that the management console is trying to connect on the right port)..

But classic ASP should not have anything to do with App-V as Management Web Service is using ASP.NET 2.0.

To the original poster: have you tried to do re-installation of Management Web Service on your Windows 2008 machine after installing IIS6.0 compatibility feature to IIS7? Also, is ASP.NET 2.0 enabled and allowed for the site?
