Proposed AnswerConsole not upgraded

After installing 4.5 SP1 all the clients and sequencers receive the new version 4.5.2.17140 like expected.

However, on the management server the console version still says 4.5.1.15580. After looking at registry key for the Management Console the version says 4.5.2.17140

But looking at Help->About AppV Management Console it still says 4.5.1.15580 . I have uninstalled and re-installed. I deleted the existing database and created a new one. None of those options upgrade the management console on the server. The server is Windows 2008 SP2 x64

    Any suggestions?

I can confirm that a fresh install of SP1 produces version 4.5.2.17140 of the console.

You can probably run the server install on anothere machine, select custom and only the console.  Locate the dot mmc file and replace the one on your server with this one.  They might not be too different anyway.

Given this issue, you might want to check the versions of the dlls in the
      "App Virt Management Service\bin" folder
If these also did not upgrade, then I would uninstall the service and console and re-install.  Leave the Server part of the install intact.

After looking at the MMC files they are the same version and size. I did a complete uninstall and reinstalled everything and it still appears as the old version. It is very strange considering everything else points at version 4.5.2.17140

Since the console is an MMC, make sure there are not more than one present (old and new).  Perhaps the shortcut is pointing to the old one?  You can just use the windows explorer to find them, right click properties to check version, double click to run.

I am running it from the installed location which has the latest version. I also copy the MMC from the working 4.5.2.17140 version and ran it however, it still shows the old version. I don't think there are any differences like you mentioned but I was trying to find the root cause of this.

I was never able to get it to say the latest version. I created a test server and installed it fresh and the version is registered as the latest. Since the .mmc and dlls are the same size and version internally I am assuming it is just a cosmetic issue.
