Im having an issue Deploying Windows 8 (imported from iso) to a hyper V session. I updated to MDT 2012 update 1, and ADK. Imported windows 8 OS into MDT and Updated my Base Deployment Share (completely Regenerated the boot images) Created a Windows 8 64bit task sequence.
X86 Boot disk boots fine, select my windows 8 x64 task sequence. Gets pushed down, and applies, on reboot I get an error message 365 pointing to storvsc.sys File. (corrupt or can not be found)
Tried recreating the boot disks again, same issue. I also tried windows 8 X86, instead of getting the storvsc.sys error, it just hangs after the OS has been applied and rebooted.
Whats odd is my windows 7 base task sequences work fine with the same boot iso's

It looks like there is a patch for Server 2008 R2 to handle this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2744129
Hmm not sure if this patch will fix the issue. I can use the same server with the same Hyper V session, but boot up my test MDT disk that talks to my Test MDT server and it pushes down and installs Windows 8 to the hyper V session fine.
comparing the windows 8 task sequence & OS on my production MDT set up to my test setup I can not see any differences..
