transfer data from excel file to mysql

    Question

  • I'm trying to transfer data from one xls file to a mysql database
the connection seems ok (test connection ok), but when running the task the result is as follows:
Error: 0xC020844B at Data Flow Task, ADO NET Destination [2]: An exception has occurred During data insertion, the message returned from the provider is: You have an error in your SQL syntax, check the manual That corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near (names of columns ...)

    Any tips?

    Thanks

  • Solved!

Installed mysql-connector-odbc-5.2.6-win32 and created a ODBC Connection as shown below and used ODBC Destination.

    Now I'm looking for performance..

  • Please specify your version of SSIS, your version of MySQL, which platform 32-bit or 64-bit. All little pieces of information that might help.
