  • Hi,

    Did you try rename the .dotm file in the template folder? How is the result?

    Please make sure you have already install that mentioned update.

    Then try to run with safe mode to troubleshoot:

    1. Click WIN+R;
    2. Type Winword.exe /safe;
    3. Press Enter.

    If the issue would be gone in safe mode, it indicates the issue is caused by add-ons, please disable the add-ons one by one to clarify which one is culprit.

    If the issue persists, try Windows Clean Boot to eliminate other software conflicts:

  • Hi Thomas,

    According to your error message, this might be one of the following scenarions:

    Assume that you enable Mouse mode in Microsoft Word 2013 on a touch-enabled device. When you type some text in a table in the Web Layout view, Word 2013 crashes.

    Consider the following scenario:
    • You start Microsoft Narrator on your computer.
    • You use Word 2013 to open a document that contains some list items.
    • You use keyboard to focus on a list item in the document.

    Please make sure you have installed this update:

    Description of the Word 2013 update: January 8, 2013

    If the issue still persists, you could follow the steps Balaji provided to repair your Word program.

  • Hi,

    Thank you very much for answering back.

    Unfortunately I've done all the update of Windows 8 and Office 2013 and I already tried the repair fonction.

    I'm going to try to work on a .odt file or a .doc instead of a .docx, I'll keep you in touch

    Have a great day !

  • Hi,

    For now the problem happened to be gone, it's really weird I haven't done anything.

    And yes I've checked that the mentioned update was installed.

    Anyway if the problem comes back I will try the safe mode.

    Thank you for all your replies,

    Sincerely,

    Thomas.
