The issue is with the SMTP adapter connecting to the server: "The transport failed to connect to the server".
Each time when this error occurs, I tested the connectivity to the SMTP server with telnet and the connection between Biztalk and the server is fine. However, the SMTP adapter doesn't seem to respond even when I changed to other SMTP server or restarted the host instance. And it's strange that approximately after few hours, resuming the suspended instance the SMTP send port is working again. I really don't know what is causing this. Fri, 13 Nov 2009 08:06:10 Z2009-11-30T07:39:17Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/biztalkr2adapters/thread/d60a305d-852b-4932-864b-eb86f764d522http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/biztalkr2adapters/thread/d60a305d-852b-4932-864b-eb86f764d522Revathi Vaidhayanadhanhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Revathi%20VaidhayanadhanBiztalk wse adapterHi,

I have created a webservice and enabled the WSE settings. Now in my biztalk application I have created a send port and tried to configure the send port with the WSE adapter. When I tried this I have option only to mention the webservice URI to which I am sending the xmldocument.I am not able to determine which method has to be called like in "SOAP adapter".This always results in a "Method Name null exception" inmy event viewer. Please let me know what I have to do. Thanks in advanceWed, 25 Nov 2009 14:43:12 Z2009-11-30T07:36:29Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/biztalkr2adapters/thread/c3aeecdf-a6b7-4e2c-86e3-653b8f958bachttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/biztalkr2adapters/thread/c3aeecdf-a6b7-4e2c-86e3-653b8f958bacfvv vitaliyhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=fvv%20vitaliywcf adapters. operation contract attributesHi. I'm using BizTalk 2006 R2 to do it. I did a simple request-response scenario:

File based Rec Loc reads XML file
Solicit Response WCF Send Port calls SAP
File send port drops the result

I've tried this with 2 BAPI's already: BAPI_PERSDATA_GETDETAILEDLIST and BAPI_DATESPECS_GETDETAILEDLIST. In both cases (and passing parameters for which I know there is data in SAP), I get a structure with a result indicating 0 (ie: no error), but I don't get the BAPI's result. I followed steps specifed at MSDN HL7 Developer Guide document. I could not find out the HL7 receive pipe line at Biz talk server administration console (receive location). I added receive pipeline with HL7 receive pipeline in my project and deploy. Now I configure that port using that pipe line as specified in doucment. (Transport type as FILE). My application do not accept the ADT sample message given by MSDN. I tried it for version 2.3.1 and 2.4 message. The message are suspended.

Can any help me ?

My question is :

1. Later I installed 32-bit Oracle, which broke WSS.
The issue is that Oracle adds a bunch of providers to both 64-bit and 32-bit machine config:
For example this one:

<healthMonitoring> <providers> <add name="OracleWebEventProvider" type="Oracle.Web.Management.OracleWebEventProvider, Oracle.Web, Version=2.111.7.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342" connectionStringName="OraAspNetConString" buffer="true" bufferMode="OracleNotification" /> </providers> </healthMonitoring>
When I try to run WSS web service, it complains that it can't load Oracle.Web assembly, that is obviouse why - it tries to load 64-bit version which simply doesn't exist at all, since Oracle is 32-bit.

My question is:
Why 32-bit Oracle upon installation modified both 32-bit and 64-bit machine config? - that's the biggest question. Is it safe to dump all Oracle stuff from 64-bit machine.config file?

Is there any workaround for this ?

Thanks a lot,
Sergei

Wed, 18 Nov 2009 23:55:42 Z2009-11-25T07:23:27Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/biztalkr2adapters/thread/bf98e2d4-c146-4384-87a0-f640719e132ahttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/biztalkr2adapters/thread/bf98e2d4-c146-4384-87a0-f640719e132aChangi Kudihttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Changi%20KudiChecking Performance using Perfmon for adapters that are part of BAHSHi guys

We installed BAHS 2.0 and BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and could not see any Performance objects/counters in Perfmon.exe... Performance will not be a particularly pressing consideration for now, but we want to implement a scalable solution. To that end, we're looking at installing on Windows x64 to leverage the extra memory capacity. I just want to know if this precludes any future implementations. Initially we will need to cater for a SQL Adapter and maybe a MQSeries adapter, but looking at this page

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa560166%28BTS.10%29.aspx

and a few others, I'm a little unsure of the support position of the adapters if we go x64.

Can anyone confirm that the SQL Adapter and the MQSeries adapter are supported on x64? Can I take it that it's just the host-instance that must be 32-bit for these (not the host), and does anyone have any experience or advice for this configuration?

Thanks

Ewan

If you have found this post helpful, please click the 'Vote as Helpful' link (the green triangle and number on the top-left).

If this post answers your question, click the 'Mark As Answered' link below.
