Configure Biztalk server Component to MySQL

Hi,

Already biz talk server components connected to SQL Server database, Once the tags are found it will load to SQL server database tables.

Question : Is there possible to use MySQL instead of SQL Sever databse.?

Note: please don't get angry if you feel about my question is stupid...!

Error in TagRead Event when using LINQ

Hai,

I am trying to insert some data into my database during the tagread event. I already tried it by using the sql in tagread event. But when i use the linq concept for that it is causing some problem.When I added the dbml file to my eventhandler class library it is performing well. Problem occurs when i add the dbml file in a seperate class library and use that class library in my eventhandler class.

When i try to create an object of my database context as below in Init of my event handler

MyRfidSinkDataContext db = new DbColl.MyRfidSinkDataContext();

its produces the following error while starting my process
Error :

Component AssociateEV threw exception during initialization. Details: Could not load file or assembly 'DbColl, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.. Resolve the issue that is causing the exception, and then retry the operation.

DbColl is my class library in which my dbml file is added.

How can i eliminate this error.

I am looking for the same patch/hotfix for BizTalk RFID Server 2009. Is it already available? Basically, I want to manage BizTalk RFID from remote machine that, does not have administrative rights on deployment machine.

Exception While connecting and posting Tagreadevents into rfid server from handheld device

Hi,
i am getting an exception while try to post the tagreadevent into rfid server using RFIDserverconnect method, i have followed the steps stated that is i have given the the name of the server where the rfid manager has installed as the server name and port as 5084 but i am getting an exception that stating "Discovery Attempt failed with the exception No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it".

So can anyone let me know the soltion or where i am going wrong

Hi,
how to update the values of the tagreadevent which was queued in the localinternal Database with the help of Notification Storage class before it being posted to the rfid server.That is how to change the values of the tag which was read.That is how can i update the values in the Tagreadevents and taglistevents table in sink dtabase in rfid mobile.

Hi All,

I need a help implementing the following scenario. I have a mobile device that reads a tag and sends the event to BizTalk RFID manager through LLRP. In the BizTalk manager I have a business rule that verifies whether the tag belongs to the business application. If it belongs to the business then process the tag otherwise ignore it. This much has been implemented successfully.

Now what I need to do is that if the tag does not belong to the business application, then I need to send a response/notification to the mobile device stating that the tag does not belong to the application. How can I do so?!

Currently I'm working on print rfid tag from handheld windows ce device[.NET v3.5, BizTalk RFID Server 2009] In this application, i'm using the following reference dlls.

Performance of Reading Tags thru Biztalk RFID Manager

Dear all,

I am currently developing Biztalk Solution for real-time asset monitoring using Symbol XR400 Reader.

I create a process for reading tag and SqlServerSink event is used to write tags read to SQL Express. Also I have adjust the "Duplicate Elimination Time" to "1000" ms to make sure that the process could be sensitive enough to reflect the real-time status of items.

However, after checking records stored in rfidsink database, I found that not all the tags can be found. So I use "Symbol Tag Tracker 5.3.0" program (Provided by Symbol) to double check if the problem is related to the antenna. Surprisingly, by using the tag tracker program I found that all the tags could be read most of the time.

I am wondering how RFID Manager handling incoming tags as using the Tag Tracker can read the tags all the time but using process in RFID Manager can't.

Is there any configuration I didn't apply before to make RFID Manager process works as efficiently as using direct communication to the reader?

Problem in Trigger event in Handheld application

We are using CSL 101 rfid reader for implementing our application. We are using C#.NET 3.5 and BizTalk RFID Server 2009.

We need to write trigger based events in our handheld application. We used the following codes for register the trigger events in device connection.

because the metadata for the property is not available. If this situation
persists, contact your provider vendor for further assistance."

Please show me the direction to get success.

How to detect if there is no tag present at the RFID reader

Hi all.

What could be the best method of detecting if there is no tag present at the RFID reader? Are there any events that could be used? Reader status etc?
What I am doing now is this:
ICollection<TagReadEvent> tagEventsList=Connection.GetTags(TagDataSelector.All);

Checks if the tagEventList has a count greater than 0.
Made a Timer, starting the timer in Form_Load, and call the code above. Is this best practice?

Bind a GPIO to a logical device

it's posible to make this scenario with bztlk rfid API,

READER 1

-> GPI_1

-> GPI_2

-> GPI_3

then

Process X:

Binds

LogicalDev 1 binded to GPI_1 & GPI_2

LogicalDev 2 binded to GPI_3

I know it's posible with antennas sources, but when i'm trying with GPIO, biztalk throw an exception, "one of the antenna's specification... does not exist....", its seem thats is only posible to bind antennas to logical device.

i'm using this code.

Business Rule Composer and use of RfidRuleEngineContext.GetVendorSpecificData

Hi.

In a RFID process I have a eventhandler and a BRE policy.
In the policy a have some conditions testing for certain values in the VendorSpecificData.
I get the VendorSpecificData by quering the database from a eventhandler:
The query may be: select * from visitors where tagID='tagID'. Returning one row, and add that to the VendorSpecificData.
tagReadEvent.VendorSpecificData.Add(key, value);

Until now only one row has been returned, meaning that the VendorSpecificData only has one "row" inside.

In the policy a condition can be like this:
RfidRuleEngineContext.GetVendorSpecificData(Name) is equal to Boblehai

So what if the query returns more than one row? Will there be performed an iteration in the policy? Or will it just look at the first "row".

Tag Simulation in BizTalk Rfid 2009

Hi,

I want simulate "N" number of custom tags with BizTalk RFID 2009. I'm using the following to code to simulate the tags.

The code executes fine. There is no exception or error in this code. The process is running in RFID Manager. But I can not see any new tag reads in TagEvents Table.

What was problem in this process?

I used Default configuration on HH Device ( 5084 Port ) but don’t know how to add a device on BizTalk RFID Server.

Problem in BizTalk Event Handler

Hi,

I'm trying to create custom event handler for BizTalK RFID process. I refered the below link for create event handler.

It was working fine after adding the dll into process. After that i tried to create connection with local sql server 2008 database. When i start the process it gives the following errror.

"Component MyEventHandler threw exception during initialization. Details: Cannot open database "uniform_tracking" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'WS03_OFFICE07\RFIDWorkerProcessAcc'.. Resolve the issue that is causing the exception, and then retry the operation."

Please any one help me in this issue.

How to specify a custom source node to be the starting node of event processing tree

Hai all,

By going through the help document of Biztalk Rfid i came to know that Rfid Process pipeline work as an event processing tree.
If the RFID process has no custom sources, the tree will remain a chain with the first event handler as the leaf, and the final event handler as the root.
If the process has a custom source or more than one custom sources then the scenario is different. I think its flow depends on the physical device bind to the custom source.
It is clearly explained in the follwing link

But in my scenario same physical device is bound to all of my custom sources. I don't know how will my event processing tree be.
Also i want to make one of my custom source to be executed . It should not sends events to uplevel custom source as in normal case.

problem writing tag on Impinj speedway reader

Hi, can someone help me please, i have this problem when i try write a tag on a Impinj Speedway reader, the antenna's power is set to full and i put the tag very closer to the antenna, i try this with and without the reader attached process running, with and without the event mode enabled. i dont know what is happening.

Missing DLL - Microsoft.Rfid.Test.DSI.dll

I have installed the trail version of BizTalk Server RFID 2009. I cant find the Microsoft.Rfid.Test.DSI.dll file in the bin subdirectory of the BizTalk RFID installation directory. Can I download the file from any other source?!

I am new to biztalk RFID, from forum and MSDN i uderstood how to create a process and how to create sqlsink eventhandler and my own custom eventhandler under this process. But my question is how to link this process which contains this custom eventhandler to my application. Suppose say there is three different process in my RFID manager, and want my application to speak only with a particular process i suppose to talk with.

Biztalk RFID failed to reconnect to a XR 480 after a network recovery

Hi,

I am facing a strange problem. I have a Biztalk RFID server 2006 R2 installed in Windows 2003 server. I have already configured a rfid fixed reader Symbol XR 480 and this is working fine in normal condition.

Once the network is down just of few seconds, the RFID manager shows 'Retrying...' and after an attempt of say 20 times as configured in the device, it failed. I simply have to reboot the RFID Device and the Biztalk RFID automatically starts again (if in retry mode).

So, the issue is, If I don't reboot the XR 480 device, the Bizalk RFID is never going to restore the connection.

How can I resolve this issue? I am using the DSPI provider v 1.0.15.6 of Symbol technologies for XR 400 series and my Device firmware version is 3.2.8.

Please help!!!!

Communication between BizTalk RFID server and hand held computer without BizTalk RFID Mobile

Hi,

We see that it is possible to create an external PC application to dialog with BizTalk RFID using DeviceManagerProxy and refering the host name. Base on SynchronousCommands sample, we can list the devices and perform command like GetTags.

We need your help to know if we can do the same on Mobile. It seems that DeviceManagerProxy can't have a host parameter and refer to the RFID Mobile Manager.

Does exists a way to manage via mobile the RFID Biztalk to pilot the other devices?

Symbol XR480 Provider doesn't start on Biztalk RFID 2009 x64

RFID Server specification:
- Windows 2008 (64 bit)
- Biztalk RFID 2009 x64

The default LLRP provider and the PrinTronix Provider all work great. However, when adding the Symbol XR Series (1.0.15.6, the latest) in combination with a XR480 (Main version 3.3.6 and DSP version 3.3.8) I'm unable to start the provider. Registering the provider works!

The Error message I'm getting is:

The content type text/html; charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported method is implemented properly. The first 1024 bytes of the response were: '<html>

Installing the same provider on x86 versions of Biztalk RFID 2009 works perfect. Is it possible that the x64 version of RFID Server doesn't work in conjunction with the Provider supplied by Symbol?

I've tried to contact Symbol, but no result so far!

When process created in the RFID manager goes to puase mode while it's running?

We were trying to integrate some sample Business Rules using BRE Composer which comes along with BizTalk RFID 2009.
It would be of very much help if someone can give some sample rules or relevant document which uses Database query / XML based Business Rules. Also we need to trigger these rules by some task which can configured at a specific time period.

Following are the requirements in details:

1. Using XML file based search option in the business rule
2. Using database table row or column for searching a specific value with a list of data
3. To execute a business rule triggered by a task at a configurable time period
