windows 8 driver for my laptop

    Question

  • Hi,

    I have a Sony Vaio E Laptop Series: VPCEB46FG (i5+4GB RAM+500GB HD+ATI 5650). I have genuine Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it when i bought it.
I have downloaded the Windows 8 and installed it.

I tried to install my old driver but it crashed(no driver, black screen) and i have to do the whole thing again, windows 7 then windows 8. The default intel graphics is working. I want to have ati graphics. Please help.

what graphics driver should i use now compatible with windows 8 ?

  • Hi,

It seems there is no official driver to download for Windows 8 in the Sony website:

    Support for VAIO™ Laptop & Computer VPCEB46FG

    http://www.sony.co.in/support/product/VPCEB46FG

So, you can test with the beta driver from AMD for a try.

  • Did you check the Sony support website for graphics drivers compatible with Windows 8?
