server 2012 essentials dashboard

    Question

  • I am trying to open the dashboard but there is no shortcut on the desktop.

It's not showing when I press start (there is no dashboard entry).

I have tried to search drive C for dashboard including hidden folders but nothing came on.

Looks like it wasn't installed at all, can it?

How do I get to it?

  • Hi,

Do you mean all Dashboard shortcuts are missing from Desktop, Taskbar and the Start screen? I suggest we could try to locate it with the following method.

    1. Please press Win + F to open Windows Search.
    2. Then choose Apps in the search panel.
    3. Type Dashboard in the input area.

What is the result? Could you find it? If so, we could right click on the icon and choose  Pin to Start to make it shows on the Start screen.

For details about how to access the Windows Server 2012 Essentials Dashboard, please try to refer to the following article.

  • Thanks all.

I feel dumb. Iwas sure the client bought and installed server essential version.

Looking again I have noticed that it's standard edition, so no wonder the dashboard is not there.

  • I have already tried the process described in the link you have referenced with no luck.

I have searched in system folders and hidden files nothing was found.

Tried just DASH but again nothing was found.

Tried add features but couldn't find anything related to dashboard.

    Any other idea.
