In PowerView, How To Format Numbers In a Bar Chart?

    Question

  • Hello,

When I click on a bar chart in PowerView within Sharepoint, Home Tab: Number section is gray out.

How do I format within PowerView?  or I have to do it within PowerPivot Model?

    Thanks!

  • Hi LAWSQL,

As far as I know, it is only supported to format the text in a textbox in Power View reports, however, it is not supported to format the text in a chart or map currently.

I would suggest you submitting a wish at https://connect.microsoft.com/sql.

  • Very strange that there's no basic formatting capability (thousand separator, percentage and basic decimal point formatting) within PowerView in SharePoint.
