I am currently installing Windows Server Standard 2012 on a PowerEdge 2850

    General discussion

  • I am currently installing Windows Server Standard 2012 on a PowerEdge 2850. I bought an external CD drive b/c the CD would not boot up to the CD drive that is on the server. Now that I have gotten to the part where you choose where to install Windows, I have 5 partitions and each time I choose one of them it gives me the message with a yellow exclamation mark "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information see the setup log." I've seen on all the threads its either you have to disable all usb ports. But I cannot do that since I have my installation CD on the USB. What can I do?
