    Dear All,

    I wish to know about the following:

    My client is using Microsoft Platform for the last 7 years and now has been asked by the Complaince Team from Microsoft to buy more licenses in order to have a 100% Compliance. Microsoft Team has asked the KPMG team to carry out the audit for SAM.

    How can I help my client to:

    1. Set-up a dialog and have a level playing platform with Microsoft?

    2. Can I represnt my client during and before the SAM Audit?

    3. Whom should I contact in India if the Microsoft License compliance Team is not listening to my client's demands/requests?

    Please advise. Thanks in advance.

    I have no idea why Mr. Patrick moved your post to our forum, we are focused on IT security and compliance management, my team knows next to nothing about licensing Microsoft software, especially in the Indian market. That means I probably have little information to offer that you haven't already considered. I think you should contact the account team for your customer, if its a large customer they might have a dedicated account rep, but if its a medium business then they'll be in some sort of pool with several account reps working together. If its a small customer then they may not have any account rep at all. You should also contact the Microsoft subsidiary in India, e.g. http://www.microsoft.com/worldwide/phone/contact.aspx?country=India and http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/default.aspx. I don't think the TechNet or MSDN forums are effective venues for your type of question because these forums are all focused on technology issues and the people who manage them and respond to questions typically aren't qualified to assist with purchasing and licensing.
