    I think I'm missing something with the new severity levels in SCM. I've read that settings with the severity level important are equivalent to the SSLF baselines. Is it therefore possible to produce a GPO backup containing just the important settings? Any feedback greatly appreciated.

    No. SCM 3.0 can export all settings contained within a baseline as a series of GPO backup files. It cannot export individual settings within a baseline based on the identified severity of a given setting. You would need to create a baseline of only the important settings and then export that new baseline.
