On the client (ccmsetup.log) I am getting the error:
<![LOG[Failed to get DP locations as the expected version from MP ‘server.domain’. Error 0x87d00215]LOG]!><time="15:05:24.261+300" date="02-13-2013" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="2" thread="3168" file="ccmsetup.cpp:10926">
<![LOG[MP ‘server.domain’ didn't return DP locations for client package with the expected version. Retrying in 30 minutes.]LOG]!><time="15:05:24.261+300" date="02-13-2013" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="2" thread="3168" file="ccmsetup.cpp:10752">
On the server I noticed (MP_ Framework):
<![LOG[Policy request file doesn't exist.]LOG]!><time="15:21:51.468+300" date="02-13-2013" component="MpFramework" context="" type="1" thread="4660" file="mpstartuptask.cpp:122">
I have a feeling the two errors are related but I’m not sure where to begin to troubleshoot.

Hi,
have you configured a Boundary and a Boundary Group configured for Content Location in Configuration Manager 2012? You need to do that in order for the client installation to find the source files for the client installation.

Thanks for your reply, and yes I believe it is all set up as it needs to be, but obviously I'm missing something.
I will add this: the client will eventually install. I am still testing of course and each of the 2 clients I have pushed it out too has gotten this error but I come back the next day and it has installed.

Monday, February 18, 2013 3:09 PMI am having the same issue where it retries every 30 minutes to no avail. But then by the following day the agent has installed. Boundaries are configured. Same entry in the log. Have you been able to overcome this as of yet?

I was able to fix the issue. Sorry I can’t be of much help to be honest I don’t think it was just one issue causing the problem. I removed the distribution point and management point roles and added them back which caused more problems. However once I worked through the new issues the original issue was resolved.

Saturday, April 20, 2013 2:02 PMRemoving Management Point and DP role has been working me, this is the second time I have to do so. I wonder, would the MP reinstall be enough? So not to touching DP?
