I have two servers, Central site server and a dedicated SUP server.
Both running on Windows 2008 x64.

    I upgraded Wsus 3.0 sp1 x64 console on central site with Wsus 3.0 sp2 x64
    I then upgraded Wsus 3.0 sp1 x64 on SUP with wsus 3.0 sp2 x64
I then installed SCCM SP2 on central site

When opening Wsus console, i see "windows 2008 R2" in the product list but in SCCM SUP component product tab there is no "Windows 2008 r2"

Site has green status and everything is working great but I can't see the 2008 r2??

    Hi Torsten

Then you have the exact same issue as I had - I solved it today!

I removed SUP role and uninstalled WSUS on SUP server and WSUS console on primary server.
Then installed Console and Wsus 3.0 sp2 x64 again, configured Wsus and let it syncronize before adding back SUP role on it.
When SUP was fully installed again I forced a sync from "software updates\Repository" and after that Windows 2008 R2 was listed as I wanted in SCCM\SUP component config.

Now I see "Windows 7" and "Windows 2008 R2" and the "old" naming is goone.

I also had the patches in the repository so it might have worked without doing the re-install but I like things perfect :)

Have you done a scheduled sync yet? We update our products after a scheduled sync with WSUS.

    Hi Wally

If you mean the sync under "Software Update Point Component" -> Properties -> "Sync Schedule" tab
that is set to once in a hour in our test env.

(We have the exact same error and hw,sw setup in test and production)

I upgraded from SCCM2007SP1 to R2 and then to SP2.

I made the same upgrade in my virtual pc sandbox env where I have all components on one SCCM server and had no problems with the sup/wsus products.

Are you talking about "Component Configuration" -> "Software Update Point Component" -> "Products"? I guess that you have to look for "Windows 7 Server" instead of "Server 2008 R2".

I don't agree - In my sanbox SCCM environment I see the same products list in SCCM as in WSUS - Windows 2008 R2 is listed in SCCM.

My testlab only shows "Windows 7 Server" ("Component Configuration" -> "Software Update Point Component" -> "Products"). Looking at all available updates in "Software Updates" -> "Update Repository" I can see patches for "Windows Server 2008 R2".
