QuestionSCCM Console Access

I want a group of people to access the console with limited rights. I setup those rights in SCCM. I have add the group to SMS Admins and DCOM user group. I did the DCOM registration. When I launch the console, I get "this function is not supported on this system". When I go via MMC and select the cosole - I get "The user is not authorized to connect this server". SCCM is setup with SQL 2008 on a seperate server. Do I need to grant access on the SQL server or is there a piece I am missing to allow access to the conosle.

    Have you already seen http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb694158.aspx?
What OS is the console running on?

You never said if you followed *all* the troubleshooting steps listed in the doc reference Torsten pointed you to.

Normally you need membership in the SMS Admins group (seems to me there used to be one on both the site server and a remote site database server, but it has been a long time since I set up a remote SQL Server - if so, you need membership in both) - and the DCOM rights as specified in the doc link.
