This has been answered elsewhere i assume but here goes trying to configure Asset Intelligence within SCCM so that we can track CAL useage, part of the configuration instructions gets you to setup an Asset Intelligence Synchronization Point role on a server when i do this i get the following in the log file various bits replaced for ease of reading
To use the synch service do you need to be subscribed to Software Assurance or am i mixing technologies up here as i tried going to the link mentioned in the log https://sc.microsoft.com/CatalogService/service.svc and it said i had no subscription
****** when i mailed th elog out it now looks like its working ********

The SA subscription was to allow you to get the certificate for synchronising AI. This certificate is no longer required in ConfigMgr 2007 SP2.

Hi,
To get the asset inventory report like RAM size etc, will SCCM invoke the data from WMI using admin shares. Pls confirm. Is there any document explaining that sccm indeed needs admin shares to be enabled to get the asset inventory from WMI.
An early response would be highly appreciated.
