AnswerReinstalling SCOM 2007 again on the same server

Hello. We Need to configure a SCOM 2007 server, before that, want to remove anythings from AD Infrastructure? Is there force to uninstalling agents on servers whole on the network? is there some check marks for reinstalling SCOM 2007 on the network? last installation was not useful after a half-healthy SCOM server and after hours on troubleshoot, we decided to Build a New Server, but agents are on the servers still, not communicating with SCOM server.
I'm wondering, I should erase things out there? or just build a new server and boom!
It would be better name this thread, installing scom 2007 after reinstalling a corrupted SCOM Server.
    Thank you all.

    Hi,

    1) Remove Config Mgr. using Setup. Make sure that all objects in the System Management Container in AD are removed.
    2) You don't need to uninstall the clients. You can just reassign them once the new site is up and running.

Saman was asking for OpsMgr ... Kent answered a ConfigMgr question. Hmmm. Kent's answer would be valid if Saman just mixed up OpsMgr and ConfigMgr ... ;-)

For the best asnwer, you should split your question into to two. One for the OpsMgr. forum and one for the Config Mgr forum.

    Hi Saman,

The following are the steps to re-install SCOM for your reference:

    - Uninstall all Agents on the monitored servers/clients
    - Disable SNMP forwarding on networkdevices (when this is being used) to SCOM
    - Uninstall the Gate Way Servers (if present)
    - Uninstall the Management Servers (if present)
    - Uninstall SCOM Reporting (if present)
    - Uninstall RMS
    - Remove databases
    - Re-install SCOM

Be ware. When using AEM (Agentless Execpetion Monitoring) with SCOM, and clients are forwarding errordata to SCOM, be sure to remove this GPO from the clients as well.

Also, just a kind remind, for SCOM question, please use the forum for SCOM  which would be the most relevant forum for your question.
