- Here's the official documentation on this. This forum is not appropriate for asking for how to do something. It really is for asking questions on, or making suggestions, about the documentation we provide.
I'm sorry that you feel that there is a lot to be desired on our documentation. We obviously can't document everything, especially with productst that we don't support, or have not supported, until very recently.
Anyway, here's the official doc:

- nope. I'm looking for a 1639 and a 16389.
- I don't believe either of those are Configuration Manager error codes.
1639 is "an invalid command line argument". You can find that from typing:
net helpmsg 1639
from a command prompt. It then says to check the Windows Installer SDK.
I don't know what a 16389 is, though I've seen it in a log file for WDS.
Wally Mead - Thanks for your help and sorry it took so long to get back to you. I'm trying to create a forefront client install package as suggested by a step by step and am not haveing much luck at it. There is a lot to be desired of microsoft's documentation for SCCM. If you could point me to any current, clear, and understandable docs related to forefront and sccm I would appreciate it.
- Hi,
Have you looked at this one:

The link you suggested, is the process I followed but have yet to make it work. I used the exact command that he used, and it works doing a manual install, but as a sccm install it is failing on me. - Here's the official documentation on this. Try the official document link that I posted, and if that does not work, post a question in the software distribution or software updates forum (one of them, not both).
