Hello,
We have a question regarding the upgrade of SMS 2003 client to SCCM 2007 client. Currently we have an SMS 2003 SP2 primary site with 40 Proxy MP's in our environment. We will perform a side-by-side installation to SCCM 2007 on a Windows 2008 64-bit server with SQL 2006 64-bit. In our test environrment, we have noticed that when performing an upgrade of the SMS 2003 client to SCCM 2007, the SMS 2003 site does not immediately release control or recognize that SCCM 2007 is now in control. Site boundaries on the SMS 2003 have been removed, but Heartbeat Discovery is on so we can perform a timely and structured rollover of the clients to SCCM. Our question is:
After upgrading the client, How long does it take for SMS 2003 to release control of the client and realize that SCCM 2007 is now in control?
Thank You
