Unanswered Unable to Install Client In Secondary Server

    Hi Team,

    SCCM Client was Corrupted in one of our Secondary SCCM Server. We Uninstalled the Client. When we are trying to install the Client Its failing. Please help us on this.

    We are getting the below errors in the CCMSetup.log of the Server. we have rebooted the Server but no luck same thing is repeated.

     
    MSI: Warning 25702. Failed to uninstall PrepDrvr.Sys for Software Metering Agent.
    MSI: Setup was unable to compile the file SmsClient.mof
    The error code is 8004100E
    Installation failed with error code 1603

    Hi,

    Just to confirm you uninstalled the client using ccmsetup.exe /uninstall from an elevated command prompt if on 2008 with UAC?

     

    As for the problem, try deleting the ccmsetup and CCM directories in the system32 or syswow64 directories and then attempt to run ccmsetup.exe again using the client share on your primary site.

    Hi Team,

    I tried all the Possibilities it didnt worked for me.

    Can you please suggest how to rebuild WMI in the Windows Server 2003 Server.

    you can try this script : http://eskonr.com/2009/03/how-to-troubleshoot-the-systems-which-has-wmi-issues-rebuild-wmi-repository/

    If you failed to remove the sccm client successsfully using ccmsetup.exe /uninstall, try to use ccmclean.exe,it will help you though.

    I could able to Install the Client Now. i am recieving the below ERRors in the MP Control.log of the Secondary Server.

    SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER received START notification.

    CMPControlManager::ReadConfigurationSettings(): Periodic Interval is 1800000

    CMPControlManager::ReadConfigurationSettings(): WINS Interval is 14400000

    MPStart(): ReadConfigurationSettings() returned 0x80041010.

    ReadMPDwordSettings(): RegQueryValueExW() failed for MPHealthCheckIntervalInSeconds; error = 2.

    ReadMPDwordSettings(): RegQueryValueExW() failed for MPHealthCheckTimeoutInSeconds; error = 2.

    ReadMPDwordSettings(): RegQueryValueExW() failed for MPHealthCheckStatusMessageIntervalInSeconds; error = 2.

    ReadMPDwordSettings(): RegQueryValueExW() failed for NLBNodeAvailabilityState; error = 2.
