SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER - Crash

Hi !

Each time SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER receives a stop notification it crashes

A new folder is created under ..\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs\CrashDumps

In this folder there is one file : crash.log

In mpcontrol.log, I find the following lines:

Is there any hotfix aviable to fix this issue ?

My configuration:

OS: Windows Server 2008 x86
SCCM 2700 R2 with ICP2
Site server / MP are installed on the same server.
Databbase is hosted on a SQL 2005 Cluster

Personally I have never seen this one before. You can take a look at the following article it helps you to configure site systems (like the MP) on Windows Server 2008

I am not a programmer , but Exception = c0000005 (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION) could have something to do with SQL Server ....It is a wild guess ...

Are you sure that your site server has local admin permissions on the SQL server ?
