    Hi,

To copy the packages to new DP from Existing DP,right click on packages node and click copy packages .In this process, you will be asked for desntination (new DP) and select packages (in this you can select source i.e Old DP with all avilable packages) to DP .Once done the package processing, you can remove the Old DP.

if you want to remove the existing DP, go to site settings> Site Systems > Click on Server > right click on delete Distribution point role.

for Distributing pkg to new one right click on the required package >New Dis Points> select the required one.

This will be inefficient if you have multiple packages. If you have multiple packages, following Eswar's approach saves a lot of time.

    Hi,

Don't forget to do that under the different contextes in the console as well to grab all objects, depending on which features you use, you need to do this under more than Software Distribution/Packages , you need to run the copy packages wizard from the nodes in the console as well:

    • Software Updates/Deployment Packages
      Operating System Deployment/Boot Images
    • Operating System Deployment/Driver Packages
    • Operating System Deployment/Operating System Installer
    • Operating System Deployment/Operating System Images

Just so you don't miss something...

    regards,
    Jörgen
