General security concerns
- I work for a financial center, where some machines are very secured, hence no C$ or Admin$ shares, strict directory permissions etc, and various other limitations. I can setup those machines manually by log in interactively, however what would be the functionality level of the client in such environment?

The default shares on clients are only needed for the client push installation. You can use other methods to install the client: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632742.aspx

- Copying the client files locally and running them fixed the issue. Teh only ones we did not do were the DMZ servers, we are still trying to find more reading material about them.
