    Hello,

I have SCCM 2007 R3 installed (not yet ready to install 2012).

Where could I get the updated list to be used in Asset Intelligence as so far only SQL 2005 is listed and Windows 2008...

I need a review of the licenses for windows, sql, sccm, scom, dpm, ETC...

If I got to All Inventoried Softwares SQL Server 2008 is listed, Windows Server 2008 R2 is listed.

When I try a report on the Asset Intelligence > Microsoft license ledger items for Microsoft License Statements or Licence 01B etc... there is no SQL Server 2008, System Center Operation manager, System Center Configuration Manager, etc... available from the drop down list!!!

    Thanks,
    DOm

    HI,

There are som hotfixes for SCCM 2007 that addresses these issues: Have a look at:

Hotfix rollup for Asset Intelligence compatibility issues in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2: May 2011
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2536089

    and

Hotfix rollup for Asset Intelligence in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2263826

I hope that solves your problem..

    from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2536089
"To resolve these issues, install the following hotfix rollup package on the affected System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 primary site server. The installation wizard for the package creates another package for clients. To deploy the package to all clients after you run the package on the primary site server, you have to create an advertisement. "

    from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2263826
"To resolve these issues, install this hotfix rollup on the affected System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 site servers."

Note that both of these hotfixes will generate a client hotfix.
You will need to deploy the client hotfix to clients, to have the corrections applied to clients.

Note that http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2263826 includes an updated adminui component, so this would be needed on all machines that have the Admin Console installed, to have the correction.
Note that http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2263826 includes and updated smsprov.dll, so this would be needed on all SMS providers.

For hotfixes I always check the "File information" table in the KB article, to see what is included, this tells me where I need to apply the hotfix.
Or you could apply it to all site systems, as it will tell you if *not* needed.

Reboot? Well, we reboot our systems fairly regularly anyway, but yes, after applying a hotfix I usually reboot. I don't have to worry too much about negotiating a reboot window, as my systems are dedicated to CM and so a reboot won't affect other functions.
