After upgrading to SCCM 2007 our management point is throwing up many erorrs listed below.

MP has rejected a policy request from GUID:05B73CB4-43F9-4638-8446-8ED959C94528 because it was not approved. The operating system reported error 2147942405: Access is denied.

Any ideas on what the problem is here?  we are not using NAP or system health validator points, which seems what this may relate to.  Thanks

Once a client has registered in the site, and then you change that value, I don't believe we go back and approve those that were not approved before.

Simply multi-select the non-approved clients, and then click Approve to approve them.

If you are running in Mixed Mode:

Check Approval Settings under Site Properties/Site Mode. Maybe you have manual approval enabled.

When we orginally deployed the client it was on manually appove however we changed it later to automatically approve all computers.  I wonder if the setting got hard coded in some of the clients to manually and is stuck.

    Hi,

We had both SMS 2003 full version and SCCM 2007 Evaluation copy in same network. Most of the clients in the network was reporting to SCCM 2007. Due to hardware failure, the SCCM server got crashed. So, we reinstalled SCCM in our network with the same server name and IP, but with a different site code. Now, some of the machines are having the Approved value as N/A. How to approve these clients? They are many in number. So, manually doing looks tough. Is there any other way?

If they don't get approved automatically, then you have to do manual approval from the site the client is assigned to.
