Windows 7 OSD + Bitlocker, How do I partition the drive??
- Hi All,I'm trying to install Win7 with OSD and SP2 RC. It all works fine except for the bitlocker partition. When installing Win7 from a DVD it creates a "System Reserved" 100mb hidden system partition, when I install Win7 with MDT 2010 it creates a 300mb hidden "BDEDrive" system Partition. When using SCCM OSD it doesn't create a hidden system partition. I can change the partitioning in the task sequence, but I don't know how to create a hidden system partition with the task sequence settings.Anyone got a clue how to do this? Thanks in advance,Michiel

- If you open properties for the disk, you can change the partition type to hidden.

- Hello Ronni,
Yes this will create a hidden partition, however it will not mark it as boot partition. When you start up bitlocker it still wants to create a new partition and mark it as the boot partition.
Unfortunately I'll probably need to do something with diskpart after installation to create the bitlocker partition.
Anyone encounter this and have a premade script file that will do just that?
Cheers,
Michiel - Same question from me. Does anyone know if a guide exists for deploying Windows 7 using SCCM OSD and in particular how the disks should be partitioned to retain the 'System Reserved' partition?
- here's one I did
Using SCCM 2007 Sp2 to deploy Windows 7
Deploy 7 (4 parts)
unfortunately I don't cover the System reserved partition, yet. but hopefully it\s enough to get you started...

my SCCM step by step Guides > http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1064 - here's an article on configuring bitlocker via mdt2010 (which incidentially you can integrate with sccm)..
http://blogs.technet.com/deploymentguys/archive/2009/10/09/how-to-configure-bitlocker-on-additional-drives-in-a-mdt-2010-deployment.aspx
if i get a chance i'll try and put the two together and see the result

my SCCM step by step Guides > http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1064 - Thanks Niall. I'm really suprised that there's nothing out there covering this, it would appear to be pretty standard stuff.
