    Hi All,

I have been struggling to sort a problem I am having when attempting to add new drivers to my boot images since upgrading to SCCM SP2 and was hoping somebody could help.

When I right click on my x86 Boot Image and then choose Update Distribuition Point I recieve a message saying it has 'failed insering OSD binaries into the WIM file'. To try and troubleshoot this I have deleted the package from all distribution points and then refreshed the package on the DP which recreated the packages fine but the re-tried updating with no sucess. I then removed all drivers from the Widows PE tab and tried both stages as before but with the same result.

If anybody could help that would be great as I need to insert a SATA driver into the image for a new model of laptop we have

    Thanks in advance Andrew

    Hi ,

This is due to the issue your drivers are removed / replaced on your disk where the drivers where initially stored before you imported them into the SCCM DB .

You should look in the Driver section ==> add the view "show Path" and verify that the drivers you want to include in your boot image are still refering to the path they say the should be .

if the drivers are not anymore accesible from the stored path , they will fail !

    Hope it helps

It looks like WAIK was not upgraded properly during ConfigMgr 07 SP2 upgrade. Uninstall WAIK from Add/Remove then install it from ConfigMgr07 SP2 bits.
this will help you to proceed further.
