We have few hundreds of computers running XP SP2/3. These computers are NOT connected to a domain/workgroup. They are merely IP machines
Is it possible to install a client on these machines for monitoring their resources and identify them ONLY by their IP address?

I'm not pointing this out as a semantic difference but as a substantive difference in the functionally of ConfigMgr and products like OpsMgr. This the question: is the question above a ConfigMgr question?
