    Hi,
I now use SCCM 2007 R2 w/SP2 on single server with Windows Server 2008 w/SP2 (X64) operating system.
Is possible upgrade operating system on this server to new version Windows Server 2008 R2 ?
    Is this supported configuration ?

    Thanks,
    L.

Officially no, the only support upgrade method would be backup and recovery.

However I don’t see why this wouldn’t work going from Win2k8 to Win2k8 R2 but I would test this in the lab first.

IMHO I wouldn’t bother upgrading the OS to R2 on a working ConfigMgr Site. I would wait until I’m replacing the server before doing that. Plus I don’t think moving to R2 will give you anything that will benefit ConfigMgr.

Server 2008 R2 is a supported configuration with ConfigMgr SP2, but upgrading the OS (while ConfigMgr is running on it) isn't. You could reinstall the OS with R2 and use ConfigMgr's backup and recovery mechanisms.

I have SQL DB on another server.
In this configuration, when I stop and disable all ConfigMgr services, is upgrade OS supported ?
