- Reddy,
Good point, I did uninstall WAIK when I first tried SP2 install but not on any install since.
Somone on another forum sugested just letting the install process run for an hour or two as they experienced the same but leaving it resolved the issue. ive got the install running again. if its not completed later tonight ill give your sugestion a go.

Open imagex and make sure there's not a wim already mounted. I think the command to list all imagex /mount.
John Marcum | http://www.TrueSec.com/en/Training.htm | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum- Ive had a look dosent apear the x86 has any mounted images. ia64 dosent let me look it says its not for that machine(32 bit 2003).
One strange thing is there dosent apear to be a x64 directory in the WAIk path were the other imagX's/boot images reside.
c:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\x86
c:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\amd64
c:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\ia64
no x64 directory you wouldn't look per x86 and x64, imagex will just tell you if it has ANY images mounted and if it does u need to unmount them but now I don't think this is you issue. amd64 = x64, I have no idea why but that's how waik lists it plus I don't think you are getting to the 64 one it looks like it's hanging on x86.
John Marcum | http://www.TrueSec.com/en/Training.htm | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum- Hi Chiners,
Just uninstall WAIK from add/remove programs, then you will be able to complete SP2. Since you have tried to upgrade site multiple times you might experience NAL path not found alerts for your MP and SUP servers incase these roles are on remote server, just ignore these alerts as component manager will take care to recreate the regkey and reinstall components on these servers.
