Are you member of the local group SMS Reporting Users? What's the error you are getting? Can you access the reporting point when you are local on the server http://localhost/smsreporting_sitecode

What are you meaning with "but when i use IIS to access the URL that is working fine"? -

That is -
Open the IIS Manager > Spend the Default Web Site > Select SMSReporting_Sitecode > Right Click and
select manage Application > Click Browse
through the above way i am able to open the Reporting URL.
Please let me know if i have to provide more information.

So the RP should be working fine.
Is there a proxy server configured in IE? I am running out of ideas in that case. -

Friday, October 02, 2009 7:41 AMIf it works when choosing browse from the IIS Manager, the site itself obviously works. Is it possible that you chose to use a custom port when you set it up? If so, modify the url like this: http://sccmservername:port/SMSreporting_Sitecode
To find out which port you are using:
- IIS 6: Open IIS Manager, expand server, click "Web Sites" in left pane. In right pane read value from "Port" column.
- IIS 7: Open IIS Manager, expand server, expand "Sites", right click reporting site, choose "Bindings". Scroll down to Type=http and read value from "Port" column. -

Hi Every one
I had an issue where i had newly SCCM 2007 SP2 installed on a Windows server 2008 R2 with SQL 2008 R2 and i could not view or open my Reports. Checked th rsetup.log file and it seemed to be fine re-installed the Reporting point but no luck. the i tried Kumar suggestion and vwaaala!!!! it work and rember you have to reset you IE after making the changes.
Thanks Kumar.
