QuestionProxy MP - Publish in AD

    I've a Priamry site called ST1 and a Secondary called ST2.

ST1 has the Default MP. ST2 has a Proxy MP installed. I checked the tick box to 'Publish this site in Active Directory Domain Services' under the Advanced tab of the each of the site properties. The Systems Management container shows both my sites are published.

    SMS-Site-ST1
    SMS-Site-ST2

However, the Systems Management container only lists an entry for the MP setup of my Primary.

    SMS-MP-ST1-SERVER1

Should I be concerned that there is no entry for my Proxy MP?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

Do the secondary site server have full control to all object and child objects in the System Management container? Do you see any errors in the sitecomp.log on the secondary server?

    Hi Kent,

Yes I applied the AD permissions for the Secondary (sorry should have mentioned).

I checked the Sitecomp.log and with SMSTrace and no errors are apparent.

I did notice this at the start of the log though.

    R2 is not enabled for this site. SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER 04/11/2009 17:11:45 4040 (0x0FC8)

I operate in a sub-domain. Our parent domain is an empty root. Our sister organisation are very reliable and told me that the R2 Schema extension has been completed.

    Thanks,

    Michael
