hi we've had some problemens with wsus3.0 installing the following update:

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 (KB955706)

as a solution we've installed the update manually and this worked, but now wsus3.0 still finds the update is needed, but it is already installed

my question is does anyone else has the same problem and have a solution for this?

    best regards

    Hi,

WSUS will discover that clients have installed the update regardsless of how the update was installed.

Has the client scanned correctly ? Do you find any errors in the log files ?

yes the client scanned correctly and the windowsupdate.log and the ReportingEvents.log say:

AutomaticUpdates Success Software Synchronization Windows Update Client successfully detected 0 updates.
