Answered Dell OpenManage Inventory Agent installed rule fails

    Hello There,

    i try to install DELL OpenManage Inventory Agent for Business Clients, the MSI Installation of the Update is successful but the verification of the Installation fails.

    The error in windowsupdates.log:

    Agent    WARNING: Failed to evaluate Installed rule, updateId = {189A8F50-0C3A-4FDF-8BC2-BC23A3EB11FB}.101, hr = 80242013

    In the Installable rules i saw a red "!" in the line of the Minimum Version, it disappears, if i change the Version Number from 1.4.1 to e.g. 1.4.1.1

    Does somebody have the same issue?

    I found the solution.

    Maybe useful for some others:

    1. In SCUP Console edit the Update "Dell OpenManage Inventory Agent (for Dell Business Client Systems)"
    2. In "Installed Rules" edit the product code in "applicability rule" from 3b67085d-16cb-4cb9-bb8e-918020357e94 to: 13bfd047-c20b-455c-8c17-db6ff0e39e68
    3. Remove the "minimum Version" 1.4.0
    4. Publish the Update again it will be revised

    I´ll contact Dell Support...
