ITMU packages not visible after SCCM upgrade
- SMS 2003 with ITMU was upgraded to SCCM (without ITMU uninstallation) and packages used in ITMU are now not visible under "Deployment Packages" folder. I know they are still there because when I right click on folder "Deployment Packages" >>> "Copy packages" >>> select DP >>> Next, they are in the list of packages I can copy to the distribution point. How can I remove these packages from all DP ? ITMU (and also the SCCM version) is now uninstalled.

- Awesome. I figured it out after Torsten's input above. In case someone else has the same issue here's how to fix:
Go to Software Distribution / Packages and DELETE the empty folder containing your legacy ITMU package. Have a look back in Deployment Packages and WOW - there they all are.
Many thanks Torsten, for a push in the right direction!- Marked As Answer byP. Hevier Monday, November 23, 2009 3:12 PM

Yog Li - MSFT- Hello Kent
Thank you for the answer but this is not my problem. I want to remove packages from distribution points which are not visible under "Deployment packages", not to hide LEGACY updates. As I mentioned I know they are still there because when I right click on folder "Deployment Packages" >>> "Copy packages" >>> select DP >>> Next, they are in the list of packages I can copy to the distribution points. That is the only place where I can see them. I can also see ITMU advertisement under "Deployment Management" >>> "SMS2003 Advertisements" but it is not possible to delete it. I found information that this advert will disappear after I delete the package with the updates but the package is not visible so ... any idea how to get rid of that ? Thank you - Was the original issue ever resolved? Today we upgraded our top SMS 2003 site to SCCM and only a few of our ITMU packages are showing. Like the above user, we can "see" them when we right click on the Deployment Packages folder. Since we have 40+ ITMU packages, we are very anxious for them to reappear. Our adverts are there.
Any ideas / suggestions? Below is our exact same issue.

- Yes they were!!! The only ones showing were not in subfolders. How do we get things back to normal? Many Thanks!
