Answerwindows automatic update and group policy

Previously we have WSUS server and import the wsus adm to the group policy so all client PCs will look for windows update from that wsus server.
WWe do not set the Automatic update settings so the client can choose to do update manually (from ms update website) or automatically (by contacting the WSUS server automatically)

Now we will decomissioned the WSUS server and have installed SCCM on a new server.

My question is, since windows updates can be deployed using SCCM agent on each client pc, what should I do with the current GPO update settings?
(it's still pointing to the old WSUS server)

    Hi,

You should disable all WSUS gpo's otherwise they will conflict with the local wsus policies applied by ConfigMgr.

will it be ok just to set the whatever settings we have to [Not Configured]?
Or we need to somehow remove/delete the Administrative Templates > Windows Components >Windows Update folder?

If it's the 2nd option, how do I delete it?

    Hi,

    Not configured should be OK.
