XP Prof BDP concurrent connections
XP Prof BDP concurrent connections
Sorry, had no choice, but to ask this question in this forum as there is no XP general forum.
In SCCM 2007, if i set a Branch Distrubution Point to be a XP Professional system, it allows only 10 concurrent cunnections.
Is there a tweak to XP registry that could raise the count of Concurrent connections it can handle?

Never tried it and probably not supported either. I suggest to configure a regular DP.

- This would violate your license agreement.

- Have you reviewed the behavior of the BDP on the 11th connection attempt: http://blogs.technet.com/wemd_ua_-_sms_writing_team/archive/2008/11/25/clarifying-retry-behavior-for-distribution-points.aspx ?
If this is still a problem for you, you can always add additional BDPs at the same site.

- While trying to understand one thing we all accidentaly seem to learn a lot many other things. Thanks Jason & Jannes.
Eric your point is very much valid. But you see the purpose of any forum is to empower oneself with power, the power of knowledge, also to share it with others & not to abuse it.
Thanks Guys.
