Windows Update and patching

    Question

  • Windows Update and patching will create C:\Windows\$NtUninstallKBXXXXXX$ folder and  KBxxxxxx under C:\Windows folder. It is for fallback the patching or hotfix.

If my C drive lack of free space, is it possible to move or zip it to other disk drive?

In case I need to fallback, is it possible copy it back and perform rollback?

    thx

  • Shouldn't be a problem to move them, them move back to original location in the event you need to uninstall.  Leave the $hfmig$ in original location though.
