Deploying first Lync 2013 pilot pool. We have a real simple Lync 2010 environment. Just a single FE server and an Edge server. No telephony at all. Just IM and presence. I did all the prerequisites and I am ready to launch TB on the Lync 2013 server and
begin to add the pool. Using article http://www.oiboran.com/?p=1073 which is similar to MS technet article.
My concern is possibly interrupting our 2010 environment when I do this. I covered all the prereqs but I don't want to do anything that will interfere with our 2010 users. We only have about 100 but I had some concerns that after installing 2013, the clients
might somehow try to connect to the 2013 server instead of 2010. Seems unlikely and impractical but just thought I would check. I am expecting the two installs to be completely autonomous and not interfere with each other but I don't have a lot of Lync experience.
2. Since the users are hosted on Lync Server 2010 Pool and the DNS record points to IP of Lync Server 2010 Front end so the user always connect to Lync Server 2010. Unless you updating point to Lync server 2013, users in Lync 2010 pool won’t
try to Lync server 2013.
