SSRS with Body and Footer To Display At The *bottom* Of The Page

    Question

  • In SSRS the body of the report has multiple variable number of line (examples lines of order for the customer)

At the bottom 1/3 we have a footer with the customer summary information as footer which we wanted printed on every page in the same location

It all prints fine when all of the information fits on one pages, but if the order lines are more than 15  we need a second page .

The first page is good, second page the body is good, but the footer customer summary moves to 3rd page and leaves a space at the bottom of the page

How can we force this to print at the bottom.

On screen view looks good , but when you print to pdf is when we have this issue . Any suggestion on how to fix this

    Thanks

  • Hi Atrajah,

According to your description, you need the customer summary information to be shown at the bottom of each page. In this case, you can add the customer summary information into page footer. In Reporting Services, page headers and footers are not the same as report headers and footers. A report footer consists of report items that are placed at the bottom of the report body. They appear only once as the last content in the report. The page footer run along the bottom of each page, so you can achieve your requirement by add it to page footer. For the detail information about it, please see:

  • Thanks for the reply

Yes but can the footer have data bound elements.  Ideally we want a sub report in the footer . It is like a payment stub for the invoice and it has many information .

    Thanks all for  your help

  • Hi Atrajah,

We can not use tablix control on the page footer directly. However, we can add a parameter to the report, get available and default value from a dataset, and then use the expression below to display the data on report footer.
    =Join(Parameters!ParameterName.Value,VbCrlf)

Besides, we cannot dispaly report footer at the bottom of each page because it appear only once as the last content in the report.
