Migrated DPM 2007 to new domain - any way to re-use replicas after a re-install?
-
Saturday, November 17, 2012 1:55 PMWe recently migrated to a new domain and unfortunately the DPM server got migrated before changing anything on DPM. So, as a result the DPM server is still considering itself on the old domain and the same with the clients. I understand that we'll need to start over, but seeing as though the main purpose of our DPM server is to back up remote clients, I would love to find a way to re-use the replicas so that we do not have to replicate the data points that have grown over the years over the WAN. Is there any way that I can preserve the replicas, blow away DPM, rebuild with the new domain and then re-insert those replicas, or are the permanently attached to the old domain names?
