Hi,
We recently update to DPM 2012 SP1 from DPM 2012, I was able to update all my agent except for one and it retrns the error above when I try to install manually and a similar error from the console.
I have tried several others steps as well but I have not had any sucess with installing the client, this is part of a cluster I installed it on one of the noced but it wil not install on the second node.
Has anyone else run into this issue when upgrading?
Thanks

Hi,
The 0x80070643 error could be caused by just about anything. It is an installer error. From the protected server use the MSDPMAgentBootstrap0Curr.errlog and
MSDPMAgentInstall.LOG files created during the install to troubleshoot. The former log will have the most detailed information and may have more insight
into the cause of the issue.Several causes have been found for this issue, one such issue is Pending reboots from other installs prevented DPM agent install from completing.

Hi,
Open the log, then search from the bottom up for the error 0x80070643, then review errors above that. Also...
- Check the System event log for 4375 Servicing errors and resolve those.
- If the protected server OS is Vista or higher grab the Cbs.log (or cabbed older revision of said log) from C:\Windows\Logs\CBS.
Start reviewing the log that covers the time frame of the most recent install failure. - Manually run the DPMRA installer to generate a detailed msi log.
Msiexec /i dpmra.msi /l*v dpmra_msi.log - Download process monitor from www.sysinternals.com and Gather a Process Monitor log of the installation failure.
