Update-GlobalAddressList recipient is invalid and could not be updated

    Question

  • When I issue "update-globaladdresslist -identity "Default Global Add
ess List" in Exchange Management Shell I get the errors shown below.  These OABs are no longer part of my 2007 Exchange.  I get the same errors when I try to issue get-addresslist | update-addresslist.  How can I update the global address list?

    Thanks very much.

  • Hi,

First please use "get-globaladdresslist" "get-addresslist |fl" and then post here.

Do you have exchange 2003 installed? If these address lists are not on exchange 2007,then please check if we can get free/busy and OAB normally from outlook. If yes, then we can ignore these warnings.

Besides,we can use ExBPA to have a health scan to verify if exchange server is in the normal status.
