Error on starting any game.

    Question

  • Whenever I try to start any game I get a dialog box with "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." For this problem I have reinstalled Windows 8.1 & the problem still persists. My DirectX & .NET Framework are also up to date.Please help me as I have a lot of games but cannot play a single one.

    For this issue,I would like to know the detail model of your computer.

    # for hex 0xc000007b / decimal -1073741701 :
      STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT                                   ntstatus.h
    # {Bad Image}
    # The application or DLL %hs is not a valid Windows image.
    # Please check this against your installation diskette.
    # 1 matches found for "0xc000007b"
    Please try SFC tool to check the result.

    Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files:

  • Could you please try a checkdisk on your drives and update the result?

    chkdsk /r <drive letter>

    Everything else looks good here.
