    how can i know last restart the windows server 2008? can u tell me the steps.

  • Hi,

    Multiple ways to do this:

    - check task manager, tab performance: uptime

    - run the command "systeminfo" from command prompt it will show a lot of info, including the system boot time.

    - look for an event 6005 indicating the event log service has started (eventlog service cannot be restrated, so it's only started when teh computer boots)

    -query WMI using vbscript, powershell, wmic, ... win32_ComputerSystem\LastBootUpTime (and prepare to do some translation on the timestamp)

  • go to command prompt and type the following below

    systeminfo | find /i "Boot Time"
    

    Or with the help of WMIC:

    wmic os get lastbootuptime
