WSuS 3 sp2 client report /update issues

    Question

  • hello,

we have a wsus server with 140 client connected, suddenly all windows 2003 sp2 x64 servers "130 server" couldn't report or download updates from the server, however only 10 windows 2008 r2 servers are working without any problems with report & downloading updates

we have already tried to reset wsus components

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

and we have enabled the extending logging and couldn;t find any error/warning/fatal in windows update log

  • Hi Amr_Hussein,

Please do the following so that we can see what is happening one one of the 2003 server :

    1. Record the system time on one of the clients of your upstream server.
    2. Reboot the system.
    3. After reboot, open a Command Prompt execute wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow.
    4. Wait 30 minutes.
    5. Copy the entries from the C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log file starting at the time recorded in Step #1 to the end, and post them in a reply to this message.

    Thanks.

    TiGrOu.
