Going from Software VSS provider to EMC hardware VSS provider, backup fails on Server 2003

Hi
After implenting EMC's hardware VSS provider instead of using the Software provider my CSV backup of Window Server 2003 virtual machines fails, the Server 2008 and server 2012 backup like a charm.
the following errors are logged on the Guest servers (W2k3):

HI,
I don't see the correlation of using hardware provider on Host and VSS errors in Windows 2003 gusts, however, can't ignore the experience. Perhaps is an overall performance issue now that parallel backups can be performed.
Be sure you have the following fixes inside the Windows 2003 guests.
